Athena Gifts Visits Oldmeldrum Academy

On 25^th June 2010, I visited Oldmeldrum Academy in Aberdeenshire to judge the marketing campaigns the S4 Business Management class created for ‘Athena Gifts’.

The task was to create a poster and radio advertising campaign for the ‘Athena Gifts’ web site. Each group were asked to establish a target market; consider their preferred radio station and design marketing posters.

They all did a fantastic job. They delivered confident presentations using excellent marketing materials. I was so impressed with the way they grasped ‘Athena Gifts’ main principle of ensuring our customers find high quality perfect gifts.

The individual group’s ability to review and understand our products and identify appropriate markets was right on target. The radio jingles were fantastic; definitely marketing guru’s in the making!

I would like to take this opportunity to thank them all for their hard work and their teacher Mrs Jessamine for inviting me to come along and judge the presentations.

I thoroughly enjoyed my morning at Oldmeldrum Academy and I hope everyone enjoyed the chocolates.  My only question is; how long did it take to demolish the chocolate slab?
